A few from the West and North. Small minority.

Looking forward to the 9 months of media carry on about it brandishing us all as ungrateful fans. That's how it works right?

That’s only if a bleating manager turns it into something.

Old Trafford, WHL and the London Stadium regularly hear a chorus of boos at final whistle. The media forget about it within 48 hours.

Very small minority of people frustrated we’ve gone fro a whisker from second place to relegation form over 7 games. Maybe someone needs to start banging on about history lessons or something.

Not good for the team or dressing room atmosphere but don't think the current manager is in a strong enough position to voice his opinion and defend the players. Hopefully doesn't result in a backlash for him.

It is what it is.

Other than you, they’ve all ran for trains by then. ESU and ESL every game for years is noticeably the first with huge gaps from 75 minutes. The age old excuse is “my kids have school the next day”.
Hmm…couldn’t tell ESL…but I didn’t see many leave past me tonight before final whistle and I’m next to an exit …not to say it doesn’t happen….but again as said I heard hardly anything for any length of time …certainly not enough to create a headline

re ESU “kids to school next day” …..hmm…more like “I’ve got to be at the Day Care Centre early”

To describe the team being "booed off" is absolutely laughable. Claiming the team was booed off would suggest a sustained cascade of fury from the stands raining down as the players all trooped off down the tunnel. What actually happened was a few grumbles of discontent on the final whistle that died out quickly, nothing more than that.

Typical media bollocks trying to create a narrative where there is none.

There were LOADS of boos at full time. Anybody saying otherwise is kidding themselves. I was in the north and it was loud.
There might well have been, but since the Goldstone days the North Stand has always been vocal, both in terms of support and criticism.

Worth remembering though that it only has 2,688 seats. Less than 10% of the AMEX capacity and not a representative sample of average home support.

Even in the highly improbable situation that everyone in the North was booing, it would still be dwarfed by those in the other stands that weren't.

But why let the truth stand in the way of a good headline?

I'll admit 'Albion booed off by some, but not by the vast majority' doesn't quite have the same editorial appeal, but it's probably more accurate. :)

There was once an Albion manager, highly cerebral with a degree, who made a very big thing of a few dozen people briefly booing. It’s not just evil football writers.
