No offence intended but your last sentence is absolute bollocks! Not a good live band? ReallyThe thing is you're posting this on a forum based around Brighton, a place where there's a massive live music culture.
So many impressive bands come here and that breeds desire to actually see good live bands.
Coldplay are not that.

Brighton has been music snob central from the day I arrived there in 1975 and it seems nothing has changed

I remember Dire Straits getting the same brickbats as Coldplay do now from the “cool dudes” of Brighton once they became massive, when they started out they were loved down here.
