Currently I am going for the atmosphere at a Manu Chao gig. I saw him at Brixton on a very rare UK performance. The atmosphere was insane helped by the band buying everyone in the audience a drink, looking forward to seeing him in Spain or Latin America sometime.

Best gig, Bruce at the Brighton Centre. For once my rugby training proved worthwhile and me and the Mrs blazed our way to the front of the audience. What a show.

Best live performances I've seen: Metallica ('93 not nowadays :D ), Rammstein, Gojira, Sabaton

Sabaton are a strange one for me live. Love their albums, love the spectacular element of their stage show and have always had the best time seeing them, but coming away from both of their last two shows at Wembley Arena I felt there wasn't as much heft in the guitars live as there is on record, or in Joachim's vocals. Doesn't take away from how much fun I have at their shows, but personally wouldn't have them up near the top of my list for those reasons. very much each to their own though

Gojira's Grammy win once again has me very excited to be back at Bloodstock this summer. Saw them headline in 2018, but I know this set in 2016 is one that's talked about a lot as a breakthrough moment for them after the release of "Magma".
