Has anyone seen reports of a snow bomb for most of the UK, around the new year? Or did I click on one of those clickbait types of things?

The annual Daily Express/Mirror hyperbolic UK snow apocalypse run up to Xmas headline predictions were proven incorrect, as every year.
As we're now certain to not die from the snowmageddon prior to Christmas they've moved the goalposts but are still persisting with the OMG 7000 mile snow 10ft deep everywhere in the UK nonsense.
It seems to me we should only take our snow predictions from @Uncle Spielberg each year.

Wouldn't mind a bit over here to break off the 20 hours of darkness...

The netweather goons have been going berserk as usual

Also - as usual on there - any snow is always '7-10 days away' and that timeframe predictably never changes but no one points that out.

What does NSC reckon? Should we be stockpiling essentials?

Temps down to normal for the time of year, somewhere between -2c and 6c, wind chill about the same, chances of some white rain on higher ground.....I won't be stocking up on supplies just yet

Yellow warning for snow this weekend over most of the country. Doesn’t bode well for my commute to the Amex.
