Cheers Lewis, club legend and all that but no longer good enough I'm.afraid.
I'm with you on this, at fault for 2 of the 3 goals. His hatred of us leaves me thinking that he cannot concentrate on the game as he should. Pretty much had his day and if you've got better, use them instead. Give him a named lounge and put the old dunkey out to grass.

He saw the run of Sarr for 0-2 and still let him get in behind (TV showed it clearly) and losing his bearings after a pretty simple header for the 3rd. Watching him give up and not even try to get back is not the Dunk i know and dislike.

Nah I don’t blame the second on him….Lamptey for me ….and tbh this hate bit leaving him unable to concentrate is funny

Lampty was at fault but this doesn’t exonerate the next line of defence which was Dunk.

Bringing back Dunk immediately and benching Igor didn't even need the benefit of hindsight.
If Dunk would have done what Igor did last week there would have been a dozen threads from kneejerkers wanting Dunk to f*** off or retire.

Bit like De Zerbi, Hurz expects our defenders to win their one-on-ones, but we don't really have the type of players who are good at that. Van Hecke and Veltman are used to man-man defence, the others most likely schooled in a zone defence.

Pervis looked like one of the best defensive LBs in the world under Unai Emery in Villarreal and Webster and Dunk has both excelled when forming a back line rather than being individual pieces of a disjointed defence.

Either we start bringing in players who can play like this or we adapt our game to the footballers we have. Right now it isn't working. The ultra high put-them-offiside-thing we've apparently abandoned worked much better.

Yep as said we must blame Dunk
I’m simply pointing out who I believe was at fault for 2 of their goals. You seem to be suggesting I have some sort of prejudice against Dunk?

Dunky wont need telling he had a shocker today. I must admit I do also think his form over the last 6 months has been on a downward arc. That's not scapegoating for today but just an unfortunate fact.

I would have stuck with JPVH and Igor although I'm not convinced Igor is the long term answer. We need a new CB and a dedicated RB and critically they must have some pace.

I’m not really sure what point you’re trying to make. If you think Dunk wasn’t at fault then fine, but you’ll need to discuss this with someone else now.

One of our own and we always stick up for them don’t we? Listen you youngsters, back in the Goldstone days (Yes sigh) Tony Towner used to get dogs abuse and he was “one of our own” and the boo boys drove him out. He want on to be successful elsewhere, Millwall from memory but people have short memories. Dunk is our Captain and the spirit of the club. Cherish him while you can.

I believe that to be considered the ultimate legend for BHA, you must have been a mainstay in our 8 year Premier League journey. Sod the the Division 1 adventure in the late seventies/early eighties and the gammon that cling to this as peak Albion.

Dunk then is surely our ultimate legend as a local lad and profound ball playing centre back. BUT, he could very well be in his last season with us as an automatic starter. He has been generally poor this season. Quit whilst you’re ahead. Groß has the legend crown and I’m not sure this will be relinquished for a generation or so.
