It's not about scapegoats, it's what (at present) right for the team. I was an advocate for Dunk in the England back four. I think it may be a slow decline...........it comes to us all.
It’s a team game and Lewis Dunk has become a very important, indeed integral, part of that team. Nobody is perfect but some bring more to the team than just field play. We would be poorer for his absence, imo.

I do understand its personal.choice but for anyone that left early today amd missed us scoring and cheering that goal, please complete the following sentance:

I left early today because.....

I cant recall such an empty home area with 10 mins to go. Im PROUD I kept cheering the team until FT. YEAH Im p1ssed off worst defending ever seen in first 45 mins and that wasnt just the goals conceeded. No urgency.
Sorry for leaving mr uber fan , you sir are a legend and hope you are knighted

I left early today because I thought there’d be more chance of someone precious being OUTRAGED on the internet and that it might cheer me up a bit.

Result.

Glad you did
Felt awful leaving before full time
But travelling back with joyful palace fans was abridge too far for me this time.

Agreed. We've spent a ton of money on attackers and midfielders whose performances are average at best (yes, I know it's early days for some).
I'm seeing little impact from Adingra, Minteh, Gruda.
On the other hand our defence looks woeful - I know Veltman and Ferdi were missing, but we need more cover and/or a different set up. Lamps is not a defensive full back, and Dunk looks slower every match, plus we are making too many errors when teams break against us. I think Dunk's shakiness is affecting JPVH or vice versa 😬
Apart from that...all good 😂
I have thought in recent games that Carlos doesn`t play a conventional CDM as Bis and Moises did but also plays higher up the pitch because he is needed , there just doesn`t seem to be the same support in MF if he doesn`t . Our MF has looked a bit watered down this season , some injuries i know but something is missing , so my wish is for another CDM in the same mould as Carlos -we need some strength there imo .

I left early today because… c’mon! Just look at the shambles out there.

I‘ve never left early before. Not once. And I’ve seen some shambles over the years. But never that degree of shambles against them at our place.

Well done to all that stuck it out.

Because I fu**ing wanted to, and because that was the worst performance I’ve seen from a Brighton team since the end of the Hughton era. If the players aren’t going to respect my time, with all the money they earn, by putting in the effort required to compete in the Premier League against our biggest rivals, then I’m sure as hell not going to respect theirs.

A great win ,which I didnt expect tbh.
once we wethered the first 20 minute onslaught in the second half I knew we’d get a third on the breakaway.
Very happy tonight and hopefully our season is turning 👍
Score flatters us, tbh.
You wanted it more & we had no answer.
Talented kids with no leader

There was a stampede out of E17 . I was happy to stretch out over 4 seats for 10 minutes.

It wasn't anywhere near as bad a s some of the shit servwd up by De Zerbi in the back end of last season.

But i don't begrudge any fan for leaving at 3-0 today.

Far from good enough.
We have been poor for the last 4 games now.

He is still a better playing than he is showing under this manager he has gone backwards and so have many, the manager and coaches need him being confident and at his best. Do you remember the lad March, he appeared to always be low in confidence until the right manager got the most out of him?
I see Mitoma exactly the same and for us to get a Europe place this season Fabian needs to get the very best out of them all and as a team, I don't believe Fabian is of the level that we all hoped. Unless he can admit he is to blame for many of the recently dropped points and learn by them quickly, we could be below mid table at the end.
I know it is stereotyping but i do believe as a German it is his nature not to back down or admit it isn`t working -unlike RDZ , seeing the problem and changing to adapt was his strongest point imo .

To be honest, my reasoning actually goes a bit deeper than that. I didn’t watch much of last season live as I needed a break from football and from going to our games, as I think we’re moving away from the feeling we always used to have of being a family club, and into a machine that only really cares about money and sees fans as consumers. I feel as disengaged with football as I’ve ever felt, and barely ever watch matches other than ours now.

Coming back this year, I don’t think has really changed that feeling - if anything it’s made it even worse. I’ve left the last two games early, and walked out of both not really caring that I was leaving, and being more worried about whether I can get home by a decent time, whereas that never would’ve happened over the years of going before.

Maybe it’s just middle aged apathy. But then again, the day started on a poor note having to share the train with Palace fans wearing balaclavas whose only intention was to cause trouble… and it didn’t get much better after that.

Thing is, we haven't been shit enough this season. Law of averages says we have to be a bit shit from time to time.

Today was one of those days.

When we learn to be not shit from time to time, we will avoid doing shit things like shipping two late goals to lose at home.

One day we could be as good as Man Citeh. They would never......oh, hang on.

Dare to dream :lolol:
