The price rises are obvious and can't be hidden, but the Syria news could be ignored if they chose, so not sure why they're publicising that.
I must stop giving drone strikes such credibility...there's always a simpler answer

A little more on the big bavovna in Taganrog, 50 km inside Russia, along the Azov coast from Mariupol.
Correction: it was a series of little bavovnas.
Google tells us that Taganrog is a port in SW Russia, on the Gulf of Taganrog (an inlet of the Sea of Azov). It was founded in 1698 as a naval base and fortress by Peter the Great.
Ukraine may have hit Putin's 'Flying Kremlin' doomsday plane, using long-range missiles.
A report in The Sun (so it must be true), tells us that the attack was on a military airbase, where an Ilyushin II-80 plane is maintained. This is Putin's equivalent of Air Force One, the plane he would take in the event of nuclear war. If it was hit or damaged, then it would remove one escape route for Putin, and - may - have made the world a slightly safer place?

Indeed.
It's also a bit f****** late for the Republican majority in Congress to act over a genocidal tyrant with nukes who has repeatedly threatened the world with nuclear war, and who may have Kompromat over the President of the US.

I think there should be intelligence reports on all scenarios (they should have been done already), including of course the increasing of support to Ukraine and further sanctions on Russia.Hopefully such a report will highlight the huge risks of Russia invading Moldova, Baltics, Poland...if they are allowed to win in Ukraine; plus emboldening China.

The Russian withdrawal from Syria:
I read few days back that Russia had asked Turkey for help in their evacuation, to take troops and materiel over the border into Turkey.
I haven't heard any follow up on that in any media.

Yes, I heard that as well. Like you, I haven't heard anything more. Considering Russia and Turkey were on opposing sides in Syria, and are - apparently - on opposing sides in the Russia - Ukraine war, it's more than a little bit mindbending.
I did see something on Erdogan's recent duplicity, and I've tried to find it again, but to no avail.
This is a huge failure by Assad.
Syria was key for Russian influence in the region and incredibly important for the private armies (under Putin control) doing so much damage in Africa.
The end result for Assad (and sadly, his family) will be something akin to Admital Motti’s fate in the first Star Wars film. I don’t think he’ll fall out of a high rise but he’ll be sent somewhere by plane and it won’t have a safe landing.
‘You have let me down for last time Bashar Al-Assad’.
Putin is pure evil but Assad more than deserves what is waiting for him. Serves him right for heading to Russia, he’d have had better luck in Iran or North Korea.
Putin will be happy to wait a while and take the opportunity when it arises. But there is no way Assad makes it to 2026.

Perhaps there is no way Putin makes it to 2026 either. Will he kill Assad before someone gets to him?
And if not, will Assad be safe after Putin is retired?
The bookies are going to have to price these very carefully.
Erdogan is VERY flexible. I'm glad they're in NATO though...just in case.
Assad could also accuse Putin of letting HIM down...but then again Putin hasn't asked for asylum in Damascus. Will be interesting, for sure, to see what happens. He could be fine, although he'll miss Syrian weather, culture and cheap butter

Could be, but I suspect/hope it's more of a detailed report on all the reasons to not withdraw support.
Congress has demanded an intelligence report. How do we get from there to Trump throwing Ukraine under the bus? I appreciate he could, but I'm hoping we're not there yet.
