Yep all decided at an EGM last night, and posted on our website this morning.

A shame in many ways that Dean Carden chose to move on after 42 years at YM as both player and manager, but all good things come to an end eventually.

Time to move on, and a new start,
Incredible length of time at one club.

Ermmm l think l had the numbers the wrong way around! . . . 24 years service all in all

Came as a young player at 18, and left as a manager aged 42. We have a picture of him in our boardroom as part of a team photo, as a very young man!
That seems more likely - still a very long time at one club.

Rape of Hastings, Sussex
Nasty incident at Cray Valley v Lewes by the sounds of it. A red card for Cray's Tom Beere for a challenge on Marcel McIntosh who then required an ambulance and the game was abandoned. Anyone know anymore?

Sounds dreadful. Lewes FC brief statement on twitter simply says he was taken to Lewisham hospitall and has had an X-ray

A cold wet miserable evening at the Dripping Pan last night. Lewes 1-0 up at half time to Dulwich Hamlet and then, against run of play Lewes get a second well worked goal. Lewes should have had a third, and I'm thinking this is great, no need to worry about throwing away the lead unlike Brighton, but guess what, they conceded a soft corner and a goal !! Then with 3 of the 4 minutes added on time played, bang, a shot into the box hits a Lewes player's arm. Keeper gets a hand on the pen but pushes it onto underside of the bar and it's 2 frigging 2. What is it with football? How can I keep going to games and seeing a 2 goal lead evaporate in the last 5 minutes.. Ggrrrr.

Today could be the day. My third attempt at ground number 57- Seaford Town after my previous attempts have fallen victim to various storms

Weather has been ok, sun is vaguely out today, hopefully the pitch has recovered in time

Ground number 57/57- The Crouch home of Seaford Town for their SCFL 1 clash with Arundel

Yes you heard it correctly, the challenge is complete. A flame that was ignited in me when my ex boss said it "couldn't be done". A journey that started at Eastbourne Borough on the 1st January and has taken in minus 5 degrees weather, a tray of 10 sausages, Brighton vs Roma and countless cups of Bovril.

This ground has become my Everest and were it not for the several mega storms that we have had I would have finished a few weeks ago, but finally the weather has been ok- ish enough for a game to go ahead

Bit of a funny ground this and I'd love to find out a bit more about it's history. Seems like they've essentially built a ground within a recreation ground (similar to Infinity, Bexhill and a couple of others). Plenty of dog walkers pottering about and one French bulldog decided to invade the pitch. Does make me contemplate why I paid to get in though as it does seem like you can just use one of the other entrances to the park. Oh well

Quite a basic ground- just one small stand really. There's also a little patio outside the clubhouse...

...the clubhouse is ok- quite small and basic but a good beer selection from Long Man brewery

Bovril wise- it came out VERY quickly in a tiny Cup- almost like it's in ESPRESSO form. It also came with a slight HEAD on it, and couple with the speed with which it was served, made me consider that it's perhaps ON TAP

The game finished 4-1 and Arundel will be kicking themselves really. Seaford are definitely a good team but Arundel had some lovely possession (without really threatening) before giving away 2 very silly penalties (pretty sure the first one was offside though). The visitors did pull one back with their own penalty and then a home side player was sent to the old bin of sin immediately after. Arundel were in the ascendency and should have made more of this advantage really but failed to. Seaford then scored twice to win 4-1

As for me, I'm probably going to take a bit of a break now. I am pondering whether to turn this adventure into a book which I have tentatively started. Otherwise I'm going to give my long suffering wife a break from me shooting off to random Sussex villages for several hours at a time

Thank you for all the encouragement this year

Hassocks
Hassocks 6 Lingfield 0
Hassocks showing no signs of slowing up and Haywards Heath imploding means The Robins are now 11 points clear. Heath are playing in form Roffey next Saturday then Hassocks on Boxing Day so a massive couple of weeks coming up. Lingfield are in a pickle right now which is a real shame but they were awful today, Hassocks won without really even having to try.

There is a song that Hawks sing 'We are never, never ever going to Bognor'

I hope some did today, as there was a last-minute winner

This made me laugh a lot. Imagining drinking Bov Italian style, propped up against a bar.

Thanks for the updates all year, they've been great.

99th Minute winner down at Bognor for the Hawks, a step towards safety, but a lot of the season still to go.

Went to the Knight & Davey community stadium on Saturday for the clash between the 2nd and 3rd placed teams in the Mid Sussex Premier Division
Final Score was Wesfield 3-0 Crowhurst , with the home side now Joint top with Oxted & District .
Completed a good week for them as earlier they had learned that planning permission had been granted to install Floodlights which once the work is completed and pending promotions would allow them to regain Senior status which was lost due to their previous ground not meeting the standards required
