Just got home, I haven’t watched any of it back yet. I actually thought we controlled it for long periods. I thought we were better team for 70 minutes. What chance though when you give a goal away like that after 4 minutes?

I’ll tell you what though - I don’t want to see Adringa at RM/RWB ever again. He’s too weak and he’s lazy. I’m not convinced that the EPL is the right league for him. In fact at this exact moment I’m not sure I want to see him in the stripes again, but I’ll get over that.

In order we are: complacent, arrogant, weak, comfortable, fragile.

We have the investment and players to 'challenge the establishment'; we don't have the mentality.

* Bloom is not a bottle job and is the best owner in world football. Thank you for letting me draem Tone.

Ah well, we'll turn it around at some point in the next 3 games, get in a good position then flatter to deceive again. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat.
You are very funny with your hyperbolic nonsense in every post. Rinse and repeat.

Just back. The first goal was incredibly stupid. I don’t remember us even doing that under De Zerbi. After that fought back well and really should have scored.

Baleba goal was great but clearly false hope. As I said on another thread we’re physically weak and playing against a side with Bassey and Traore in with no right back is suicidal.

We have to remember FH is a young guy in his first top flight job and he’ll learn, but from the team selection to the tactics to the physical application tonight was poor.

Worst part was being goaded by Fulham fans wearing half and half scarves who hadn’t made any noise for most of the match. Never mind the Amex that is a shit atmosphere

CC had loads empty seats throughout. Poor attendance but then they charge a fortune and target tourist market so to be expected.

That’s what I thought. Unless Joao Pedro is injured, I can’t understand why we’d take out biggest goal threat off for someone who looks miles off the pace.
Subbed off v Stains too. Don't get why we would do that.

Calling our resident lurking Fulham fan @BrightonCottager, thoughts for tonight ?
Err, only just seen this as I went straight from work (& only just did the Wordle on the train home as well). I didn't predict a 3-1 victory beforehand, thought Albion were a bit underwhelming and we were better than expected given the forced and unforced changes to our starting lineup. Your defence looked disorganised for a lot of the game and that was our first set piece goal of the season and, bizarrely, Matt O'Riley's first goal for Fulham. I was impressed with Pedro.

Fair play to the Albion fans singing a lot of the way home on the train.

💯 this. They did press well and they have some big units to contend with.

f*** it. Another day it’s not raining (which just didn’t help our wide outlet passes), we don’t gift them a goal and we win.
Not another on another day merchant we win. Today was the match day and we didn’t win.
All this dreaming is doing my head in.

Saw a lot of people slagging off prime yesterday .... Can't see how, I watched the game with at max a 5 second delay with a perfect picture and frame rate at a pool in Miami yesterday (or today here). Makes me laugh all those streaming services like sky that make out it's impossible to stream in near real time.

On to the match.

Very disappointing, we weren't terrible but we weren't much better than our average this season....difference being we've been very lucky at times this season and that luck ran out yesterday. We feel like a 7th-10th team, fab needs a season with the players. I've felt all season we are spurs / Newcastle level in squad....but equally Fulham and Bmuff are not far off us. The standard below the top 6 is pretty high these days.

Admittedly only able to keep one eye on the game but thought we were unfortunate to be behind at half-time. Deserved the equaliser and at that point felt we were more likely to win. Disappointing after that but sod’s law that Fulham got the leg-up of a second gifted goal.

Felt like we had the trip to Leicester in the back of the mind from the team selection and through the performance, which ultimately did us no favours. But then hindsight makes everything easier.

Fulham are a very decent side, with an excellent, seasoned Premier League manager. Similar in quality to us but with more established players. One of those tight games when we missed Welbeck’s steadying influence (not to mention the reliability of Gross and experience of Lallana). We can be really, really good. When things aren’t going well, we can quickly look like a disjointed set of young, individual talents that struggles to get proper control of a game. Not really a criticism. Just a fact of life for a club reliant on developing players.

Not one to dwell on. We’re having a good season. Need much better at Leicester but, realistically, with the Ruud bounce, a draw would not be a surprise.
