(Testing my memory a bit here) but I remember there was (70s/80s ?) a home made ice-cream shop at the bottom of Boundary (Station?) Rd. Owner used to mumble to himself a lot, anyway best ice-cream ever and never had better since.
Yep he had a little factory unit behind in the garden which are now flats

Flying Saucers are also still available - seem particularly popular in Europe bizarrely enough, as my boys seem to have a knack of knowing where sells them. Certainly Tiger/Flying Tiger, which have outlets all over, sell them. Not sure if they do in the UK though.

He was there since at least the mid-60s. I remember it well, definitely the best ice cream ever. It was a special treat as a youngster to get sent off to get a large bottle of cream soda and a big box of his ice cream, and bring it all back to make soda floats in my gran's kitchen. Happy days.

I liked Toffo's and flavoured toffos

lost a few first teeth to them early 80's

those red boot laces were toxically tasty, as well as enamel damage from space dust and corona cherryade

its a miracle some of us have any teeth!
