Most of my old favorites are salmiak/liquorice-related stuff considered inedible outside of the Nordic countries. No chance you've heard of them.

Strange how local a lot of sweets are when most things we eat are eaten everywhere.
Last time I was in Sweden, I unwittingly bought a packet of these at Vasteras railway station, unaware of the inedible horror that lay within… FFS, they ought to be banned under some UN directive or something

I have a tub of Chunky Monkey in my freezer bought from Asda a couple of weeks ago - not really one from the past!
Not seen it for years. Thanks for the tip

A summer treat for me as a nipper was a Screwball, loved the bubblegum at the bottom

It consists of ice cream inside a conical plastic cup with a gumball at the bottom - bizarre but I think they are still around

By a strange coincidence I have just started a petition on this very subject. My idea is to simplify the snack’s name from Gott & Blandat to just Gott. Importantly, this wouldn’t erase Blandat’s identity—it would still be recognized as a distinct and proud part of Gott. This change is about creating a unified and stronger identity for the snack as a whole.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this, whether you agree or not

A pennies worth of sports mixtures or midget gems in a paper bag... No black ones though, tasted like coal. Local shopkeeper would take them out 😊

Yes the old fashioned shopkeepers, I used one on Commercial Square Haywards Heath can't remember the name but floorboards, tiny shop, lines of jars of goodies. Liquorice shelves but a haven of memories

Remembering those treats sadly dumped and sent to the confectionary heaven in the sky

Texan bar
Spangles
Cabana bar
Amazon bar
Cresta drinks
Lord Toffingham ice cream

What are your memories ?
Back in the day at Sea Scout summer camp, me and a mate put half eaten spangles on the eye lids of the other kids sleeping in the tent. So funny when they woke up in the morning.
