Classic lazy response from someone who can't be arsed to research?

If it's not spoon fed to you by the mainstream media it must be a lie and the person saying it is a conspiracy theorist...
Have I been whooshed?
No fan of the WEF, but the whole 'Great Reset' debate is absolute classic right wing nut job conspiracy territory. As the podcast I linked to explores. In well researched detail.

I see my letting agent has upped his percentage due to the additional work these new rental reforms allegedly cost. Where do I sign up for this anti-Labour thing?

If he had heard about the potential change, why would he do it before the announcement when doing it after the announcement would be exactly the same? In any case, the changes don't come in till April 2026 - so it's not as though he would have to rush in and do it in case the current owner died the day after the announcement or something.

Large estate owning families like these (it's not just farmland, it's a village as well) often set up trusts for descendants well before they die.

And anyway - it just goes to prove that the IHT is avoidable, legally, with a bit of forward planning. Exactly what a number of us on here have been saying.

A complete non-story. As you accept, because even you say you're certain that's it a co-incidence!

Increasing doubt about the feasibility of these 1.5m new homes....even from Labour councils.
Not another broken promise surely?

We'll have to await the end of the parliament to ascertain whether it's 'another broken promise surely'.
I suspect they won't meet it, but it's at least a bit of ambition, and if they get beyond a million, it'll be some achievement, particularly given the dreadful rates over the past 40 years.
I don't expect you to agree with this but, then again, you find it difficult to put a brain in order when it comes to dealing with issues relating to politics.

I think where we differ might be in the constant plucking random figures as a promise in order to get elected.

To then later say 'Ah well, we got nearly 2/3 of the way' is simply taking the mickey.

Any research or consultation would have shown this was pie in the sky.

Maybe - but I don't recall you putting all these sorts of posts on the Tories Meltdown thread......
I had nothing to compare it to. All I read was how refreshing and grown-up and honest this new cabal was going to be.
