The Chelsea manager is equally least successful EPL manager historically, but the 3rd best manager at the moment. And the Liverpool manager is also equally least successful but the best manager at the moment. Newbies doing well

I think this is a stat that says more to how much we underperformed last season compared to how much we are overperforming this season. But nice to see nonetheless

It would have been interesting to see if RDZ would have got “found out” if he had the players FH currently has at his disposal when we hit an injury crisis and extra European games last season. We’ll never know and I pray FH doesn’t just lose interest if we hit bad form and enough key players get injured period this season, to hamper playing a competitive style.
Also interesting that we are up there for the most injuries so far this season in the PL but still had enough strength in depth to field strong sides. RDZ did not have that luxury.
We won’t know how good FH is until the end of the season, but it looks promising to me.

Not diminishing the achievements this season but it might be more meaningful to compare the results with 2022/23 when we weren’t competing for Europe and had half the squad on a physio couch.
By my maths we are exactly on par with the 22/23 season. Different results, but same total points from the same set of fixtures.

The jury still out, I confessed I only saw the 2nd half tonight and we were lethargic, poor, unmotivated. The worse 45 mins I have seen for a long time, little to no movement. We need Hinsh and Baleba back soon.

Doesn’t seem to matter who the manager is - Potter, RDZ, Hurzeler - it just seems to be what happens in those games we’re expected to win.

No easy games in this league my friends, everyone earns their spot in the PL.
Dunno how he manages to get into a fight with Russell Martin other than through being a shite loser. Its like swearing at your Golden Retriever because you missed the bus. Martin appeared to say GG after the game and Hurz decided it was time to go to monkeytown because he got done today. A little silly.
They play most of the game 3v2 (Dibling, Archer, Sugawara) on the right side against Igor and Pervis and our solution is to give up the wing. Almost bad on the left where Armstrong and Manning are often 2v1 vs van Hecke. Same "solution" there is to just give Manning all the time and space he wants.
We needed a change of shape and got it way too late. I blame the 1-0 lead for the reluctance to interfer with things but I think if Hurz could relive the day he'd make a bit different decisions.

He’s been a mixed bag in games so far. I have quite serious concerns over him tactically, but he has shown the ability to adapt, which is positive.
Whatever way we put this together, we’re still second, despite many injuries and the constant changes that come with such injury problems.

I was thinking about this earlier, feeling that our position this year is down to some excellent player recruitment more than tactical astuteness. I just think we have a really good squad these days

Any team misses having their best players available. We missed Baleba, Veltman Hinsh and Ferdi today. Good to have Dunk back today.

True to a degree but one win in last 7 against promoted teams (including 4-0 thumping at Luton) is frustrating and bewildering. Saints didnt even park the bus and we still couldnt get a win.

We have beaten Man Utd , Spurs and Man City at home , and yet can’t win against 2 promoted teams , nor Forest or Wolves
I don’t know why FH did fck all about the basement club owning us down both wings. From the very beginning flashing crosses through our 6 yard box. Thankfully to the invisible striker.
Formation was wrong, three forwards ceded centre midfield, especially second half.
He's good when we win, not so good when we don't. It will always be the same.
But I guess if they are just doing pointless crosses to no-one - there is no real reason to stop it. It's harmless.
