Yes, it took ages to get to the bottom of this.
Whilst I prefer to stay humble and respectful I couldn’t help but glut when the decision went our way.

I'm probably being facetious.

I guess that's what Bournemouth get for having Arabella Weir in their side.

From the real-time footage on the TV, Mitoma was out of frame. So when JP first played that pass, my first thought was "who the f**k was that to?". Followed by "whoa, who's that? Where the f**k did he come from?". Then "is that Mitoma?" And then " holy crap! We scored!"

It literally seemed like he'd come out of nowhere.

Good thing Mitoma doesn't have hair like Cucurella.

The vision and perfect weight on that pass by JP to completely dissect their defence was just pure FILTH. That pic captures it perfectly.
Yes, I watched the replay on TV many times, but couldn’t work out the path of the ball through the defenders. It looked diagonal, but that pic makes sense of it.

What a ridiculous situation we have got ourselves into. Minutely examining whether someones pubes are offside when the player is not even in the Penalty box. The time wasted to examine something that could in no way be decrilbed as goal haninging. The VAR system is bollox but it makes money so we are stuck with it. It’s still bollox because it has not stopped discussion it has generated more. No problem with that but it holds up the game unnecessarily.

So if Mitoma had been leaning forward a little more a brilliant goal could have been chalked off - his feet are miles onside. The offside law is an ass .
Yes, if they changed the offside law so it was only the position of player's feet which determined offside, then it would be much more straightforward to judge and also much more in keeping with the intent of the offside law.......

……until someone scores with a brilliant diving header that would have been off

What I don't understand about offside is, if Mitoma's shoulder is what they were looking at there. And if his should is offside by an inch or so, then they disallow the goal. But by that logic how did that Roma goal get given last year? Was that just an appalling decision? Because its so clear that the Roma player's arm, should and head were all past the player.
