Yes but they'll need two terms, minimum. In my opinion it looks like this:
First term, reform key services, raise taxes, get outside investment and push on with large infrastructure projects. Essentially, put the country on an even-keel.
Second term, rejoin the EU in some form, even if it's just some form of customs union. It's essential and anyone who thinks it isn't needs to get in the sea. Then begin paying down the absolutely enormous national debt and grow the NWF or some other form of sovereign wealth fund.

If this the case (and I’m hoping it is) then do you think they’d need to build the groundwork in their first term by floating the idea to the public? Or would this be so catastrophic to their re-election prospects that they daren’t? Because otherwise they’ve only potentially got the 4 years of their second term to do it start to finish - by it I mean pitch it to the electorate/parliament, campaign, produce figures, negotiate/beg the EU basically from scratch, and all the other variables

I actually appreciated @Pavilionaire ’s views on this. The messaging has been poor, IMHO showing a lack of experience and control. The Sue Gray situation was bad optics. There is a need for change, but I have serious question marks over the implementation of two of their major decisions since July (WFH primarily but also farmers now).
I think Pavilionaire used the term “grow up”. I have to agree.

How anybody can seriously confidently predict yes or no after 4 months, I have no idea. Presumably they are the same people that write off a 19 year old international striker who has scored hat-tricks in the Premier League.

Yes , I predict a re-introduction of the Winter Fuel Allowance for OAPs receiving less than £25k p.a. in the last budget before the General Election. This could be achieved by making farmers pay 40% inheritance tax above the £3M threshold.
Am not a labour votor but after last government they have every chance. They have the time 200 majority Just have to have the balls to make decisions and not try to take middle ground all the time to try and please everbody. So much in there favour Unlike last government, No Brexit no Covid and hopefully interest rates on the way down. Just need Ukraine war to end
