my sense (might be memory playing up) but they've sold far quicker than in previous seasons.
Certainly compared to last year, day one then about 1400 now 1700 and day two then 450 now 800 (not including the 100 or so held for club comps). Also after the first day last year there were about 300 left in the lower tier, this time just a handful.
As has already been stated the sat 3 pm timing, holiday period and train travel offer may have had an effect Not forgetting of course the 10 points and Bozza influence!
Last year it comfortably made it to all season ticket holders on the Friday and in fact did not sell out till Monday afternoon.
Currently 340 on sale with a further 283 to be released.

Even if it sells out immediately, so that there’s a chance we can buy the few that become available closer to the date!
That’s not how it works. If it sells out before going to all season ticket holders (i.e. today), any that become available later can only be bought by those who were able to purchase at the time they sold out. The later windows never open. Unless they’ve changed that this season.

I know, that’s why I said I hope at least a few make it to Friday?

I’d be interested to know if (assuming the disabled seats are still available tomorrow 9am) the returns will go on sale to all season ticket holders. Returns are almost always standard seats but none of them will have gone on sale tomorrow.

Not that I’m interested in going. London stadium is on my list of ‘done once never to return’ grounds, along with Stadium MK and St Mary’s.
