I'd like to go to London away games, but it doesn't look likely this season. Instead we're going to do Villa away. Maybe this will be the year we'll win there!

That last thought has just given me a horrific flashback 😳

Surely encouraging people to go away and support the team is a good thing ?
To answer the first one, no. And the second one yes, but not if the support is very passive. Just think last year for some people the motivation was more about the points than actually cheering on the team, with people do u turns at the turnstile.

The thing is, it's not like people going to a game they might otherwise miss, are not supporting the team.

They're just, errrr, supporting them a bit more than usual in the hope of being able to support them again in the future.

You hoity toitys atop the loyalty point pyramid need to remember where you came from - the murky world of the Tier 2 ticket scramlble.
To be fair since the introduction of loyalty points in 2011, I think I’ve never left Tier 1. From memory I think I was even in the top group for Maidstone away in Pre Season that for some bizarre reason went to loyalty points (I didn’t go).

It doesn't help we can't pass tickets on. Equally, I get why the club did it. I don't know what the answer is.

We've got a spare for Leicester due to a rearranged football game. My eldest went to the Liverpool home game (previously hated it), has expressed an interest and I can't give it to him just in case. It's rubbish the seat will be empty.

I agree completely on the last point, but nobody at the club seems that bothered about possibly find a solution.

I'm in the top tier comfortable, but miss the occasional game, but know people buy tiks and don't go but still apparently get points without tiks scanned, this is the clubs issue, and they should be accountable

That’s …erm… well I can’t find words, disgraceful? bizarre? puzzling? I don’t know what to say.
Personally If I knew this for a fact I’d have kept it to myself, it could only encourage them.

Due to waking up at 6am on the Wednesday and working until 4pm and then getting 2 flights with the first at around 2am, then 3 hours time difference, I was up for;
Ajax, 46 hours
Athens 50 hours FBS gig
Rome 45 hours
I would do it all again next year if it were to happen but as I've only managed to do 1 away this season and dropped to tier 3 on PL allocation I think I will struggle but with 4 away games minimum, you never know...

I thought you only got the points once youd scanned in? The club wait 7-10 days to allocate the points as they wait for gate info from the other club?

Perhaps if the home club choose not to share that information, then every ticket holder gets points?

I’ve missed two away games I had a ticket for, didn’t get the points for either. Probably depends on the away club’s data efficiency and accuracy (or willingness to provide it)
