I'm not making assumptions, or digging you out, but it's arguably this kind of attitude to nature and the natural world that has normalised some level of acceptance of the planet's and it's species destruction.

And you are right that children should obviously be protected from killer dogs (can't believe I feel the need to type that), and have the right to be in a playground. I was responding to a comment about a hypothetical wolf. Breeding/mutating animals who have no choice and then choosing to kill them is part of a similar approach, no? That we can do with nature what we want. Yes? And we can end up chasing our tails about who as a right to be there, can't we? As humans would have paved over the (hypothetical) playground and colonised the space that nature would have previously inhabited. And again, that is humans doing with nature whatever we feel like, without due care.
But, looking at those that are ‘pets’, and have the appropriate restraints when outside, aren’t they being managed properly or are their owners living in fear when indoors?
