Safe Standing is such a stupid name. Just call it Standing. It’s 2024. We all know what it means. Nowhere has Dangerous Standing as an alternative.

If the vote for standing is 'No' I wonder if they'll do that? After all it IS the rule/law/regulation, and if it's a 'No' vote they could say, "Well the fans have spoken, they don't want official standing, so you troublemakers sit down or else."

If you don't wish or are unable to stand for long periods, I assume the club will offer alternative seat. And vice versa

Very much this, I want to vote yes, but the bloke in front of us must be 6’4” at least and is a real pain in the arse when he stands up during an exciting phase of a match. It’d be a nightmare trying to watch the game with him stood in front of us all game.

Isn’t it thr intention to install safe standing in the new away area too ?
Presumably intention is to do the building work for both in the close season.
This is fairly common in away ends now - my Bournemouth (a) ticket is safe standing.

Grounds that have retro fitted the rail as haven’t increased capacity. Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Wolves Come to mind, the seats are the same, just with bars fitted either to the existing frame of the seats, or just behind them like at Brentford.

Had a search on cost and Celtics (c3,000 seat section cost £500,000)
Personally think it would help in the north and maybe enforce some movement for those who don’t contribute to the atmosphere.

I'm 6'5 and don't go in the north stand for this reason, you have to stand for long periods and I feel totally self conscious of blocking the view of the person behind. The North Stand is so shallow, it needs to be steeper if it's going to be all standing.

Someone posted a YouTube clip of someone going over the safe standing railing here last year. I have no idea at what match, no one was hurt etc. It doesn't add anything to the discussion but I found it very funny, so if whoever posted it could post it again I'd be grateful!

At the very least I hope they make the south safe standing.
No idea if it's possible (and i suspect it very much isn't)but I'd quite like the south to be sit/stand where you like and easier for non season ticket holders to get tickets for.

Would move from WSL for this if possible. Prefer standing
