I wish I was a good cook

I just had an omlette
If you can boil something, dust something in something, fry something, and finally chop and mix somethings, then you can cook what I just did. You’re pretty much half way there with an omelette 👍

Had a Cow Poke salad on the Ferry this evening.

8/10 For colour, attractiveness, and price ( about £8).

I have decided it wasn't quite tasty enough to warrant a grading after eating almost 3/4 of it. Not a patch on a suggestion of fillet of salmon and veggies suggested a couple of days ago by PascalGross Tips on here, which I enjoyed on Monday evening. That meal ( with a 100gram of boiled potato with skins and a spoonful of hollandaise sauce) hit the spot 100% and low in calories...!.

Funnily enough I had salmon last night… sprinkled with chilli flakes to spice things up. With roasted carrots, broccoli and courgette alongside 😋

Thanks for this thread…I needed it. Lost couple of stone over summer but hurt back and had to stop exercising and back to snacking . I’ve put back on around a stone which I’m really annoyed about and need some motivation to try and lose it again . Target of 7 lbs this month is a great help.
Question- how to avoid the mid afternoon work from home snacking binge?

Day 6: 85.10kg (13st 6lb) and 17.6% body fat.

Definitely a good day on the daily fluctuations front, but the trend is encouraging. That’s 1.4kg (3lb) down from the day 1 weigh-in. The complete eradication of snacking between meals and upping my exercise levels seems to be working.

It’s going to sound really pretentious but, don’t have them in the house is the BEST way to do it.

Eat fruit as a snack or nuts, not covered in salt or anything, just nuts with the skin on or in the shell. By the time you’ve eaten a handful that will kill the craving until the dinner bell rings.

Oh, and drink copious amounts of water between lunch and dinner and that will reduce the cravings

I have an apple and a pint of water.

Someone once said "if you think you're hungry, are you hungry enough to eat an apple. If you are, then eat an apple"

Day6: 16st 0.4lb
-3.6lb

Chicken fajita last night (topped with cheese and yog), without the wrap. Served on little gem. Lovely.
Are you on the TFW meal plan? I ask as that's what I had last night and I'm on it!!

I started on Monday (I could NOT start a diet on a bloody Friday!!); but skipped week 1 meal plan as it's too brutal. I've lost 2 lbs in 2 days so far :)

I don't know what TFW is. I have been using Second Nature (https://www.secondnature.io/). Was referred - and subsidised - by my health insurer this time last year (Vitality) and it worked pretty well for me. But combo of moving house, living without a kitchen and a co-op two doors away have meant I added a stone back on.

I'm not sure I needed their app and group chats really - but the recipes are great (nothing too brutal - just lots more veg and far lighter on carbs).

I found their cookbook the other day and have started planning them into my meals again, so I'm hopeful that I can hit the 7lb this month and maybe get the whole stone gone by end of Jan 25.

It's going the right way though - and the pace of the fall will vary. Stick with it.
I’ve struggled a bit this week - too tired to cook proper meal Monday so had pizza - too much Diet Coke and too much pate and crackers. too this week.

Weighing in as 105.3 this morning but Imfluctuating - it could be 106.5 tomorrow but that’s the lightest weight recorded to date 😗

EDIT - checking back to Day 1

Today = 107.8
over 2 Kg weight loss ☝️

Ok, on our way back from our place in Menorca today. Not sure of the accuracy of the scales there, but.
Friday was 85.8kg 13st 7
This morning 84.9kg, 13st 5

Back on the real scales tomorrow will see if those numbers are realistic then.

I think you’ll need to reset so your total loss is two pounds then whatever the new scales say is your new zero then the day after if it goes up or down add it to your two pounds already off
