Way way way too early.

Almost all of the vote counting for Georgia so far is early in person voting, which is pretty much always strong for Rs.

This is part of the red mirage that everyone was told would happen early on.

Again, I’m not saying Harris is going to win. Just that nothing that has happened so far has been “off script”.
Very early.

“By law, Georgia has to count its early votes – all four million of them - by 20:00 EST (01:00 GMT), and the results are already rolling in, showing an early lead for Donald Trump.

We should be careful of reading anything into that at this stage. Small rural counties, the kinds of places likely to have strong Republican majorities, can count faster than big urban ones that are likely to lean Democratic. “

This is key: small rural places count quicker, and like in the UK, they are more conservative.

Trump claiming “massive cheating” in Pennsylvania….surely this is a good sign?

Early Pennsylvania noises are good.
Too early to tell.

Exit polls:

* Harris wins 55% of women voters in Pennsylvania; Trump wins 43%.
* Trump wins 54% of white voters in Pennsylvania; Harris wins 44%.
* Trump wins 58% of white men voters in Pennsylvania; Harris wins 40%.
* Harris wins 48% of white women voters in Pennsylvania; Trump wins 50%.

Don’t forget though, PA doesn’t count it’s mail in ballots and absentee ballots until tomorrow and these tend to favour Democrats.

NC

The Dems have voted in a Democratic Governor (largely because of the Republican’s comments on a porn site 10 years ago comparing himself to a ‘black nazi’ apparently which came to light recently) but far too early to predict the top of the ticket.

Are those who have been so confident in betting on Harris as a likely win in recent days on this thread still so confident?

If so, could do with you spreading that around a bit right now because I am very low on the mojometer at the moment - gut feeling this really will go down to the line in a very narrow victory for Harris or Trump will win comfortably ☹️

Harris takes Illinois. That’s a big one to steal.
Expected win though - Biden won Illinois by 17 points in 2020.

Sorry, must stop being negative :ffsparr:

Mildly less confident. But hold the nerve.
