I’ve been in India for the last three weeks, without doubt, the most effective weight loss country I’ve experienced so far, back next week, losing further weight in November could be a challenge!
Is that because you’re shitting through the eye of a needle every time you get street food?

And no, this isn’t racist.

Had a curry tonight but was good had a Shaslik with no rice and less than a quarter of a nan, also no beer (just whisky).
If I have a takeaway curry the last few times I’ve been ordering popadums and a pickle tray and sitting there making popadums with everything on - it’s the bit I love the most 😂.

Nope, not touched street food, tried to eat as sensibly as possible, however it’s virtually unavoidable when you stay this long. Apart from that, trip has been amazing

SE9, obviously
121.5kg (+1.2kg). Early own goal. Entirely down to my own choice to shove 4834 calories into my gob. Much of that choice was down to Mrs SE9's choice to order an industrial sized quantity of Stroopwafel which arrived yesterday. And together with Scotch Eggs and Marmite Pinwheels comprise the Holy Trinity which I cannot say no to.

Remembering that lots of that weight change isn't the food miraculously turning into body fat. You may have drunk more fluids, perhaps later in the day. Weight can be volatile day to day.

So don't give up. You had a big day, but today needn't be. Just a thought, don't measure calories. Just write down everything you eat and drink each day - I mean everything. It tends to make you far more aware, in the moment, of what you are shoving in your gob. I'll join you and do the same.

Just back from a six mile walk /
Jog as having a curry tonight and we are out for Sunday lunch tomorow to celebrate my mums retirment, probably best to say the work starts on Monday
Or, it's a chance to start some new habits? Maybe swerve the poppadoms and the naans this time? Swap a beer for a water? Forego the extra roasties and go big on the veggies?

The fast did the trick.

Lost 2.5lbs (1.13kg), down to 15,3.

Just then the most welcome bowl of porridge ever!
Yesss....porridge...!

Just about to have mine. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day when I'm on a regime.

Happy to have got through yesterday without mishap and gradually remembering many of the little 'tricks' , I used many years ago to help get past the crisis points.

I think writing everything down is good, but I think it's best to include the calories. That way you can think about what's satisfying you the most and what's high calorie but really not that filling.

BTW, a chicken tikka with a small amount of rice is perfect for weight loss. When cutting weight I was on 1200 calories but could still have a curry.

85.65kg (13st 7lb), 17.7% body fat

I’ve lost 0.85kg (2lb) from weigh-in, but I suspect that’s more to do with daily fluctuations and water content rather than me cutting out snacks for 1 day! I’ve also just been on the turbo trainer for an hour, so probably slightly dehydrated.

Good start though 😀

There is a reason why people don't weigh every day, but personally, I need to see the data.
Me too - absolutely.

No big changes but gradually over the past 7 weeks (when I started weighing in at the hospital in mid September at 114.24) I have lost 7 or 8 kilos just cutting out on bread (eating sourdough biscuits instead) , cutting pasta (although have had pasta a few times) and all breakfast cereals. I have also replaced my half litre a day of fresh orange juice with whole fresh oranges to cut down on my sugar intake. Cut back on processed food too - ie less pizza.

However, good news for those that are struggling with ‘diets’, I’ve lost over a stone in 7 weeks without exercising (because of my painful neurological flare ups), not cutting out my fried breakfasts or cutting out chocolate nor am I eating any less or having smaller portions - and that first stone feels incredible - same size cloths but much loser and I am feeling lighter 😎

1.5 kg lighter today than yesterday - that will increase at some point but over a period of time still going in right direction
