[Food] Lose 7lbs in November

Remembering that lots of that weight change isn't the food miraculously turning into body fat. You may have drunk more fluids, perhaps later in the day. Weight can be volatile day to day.

So don't give up. You had a big day, but today needn't be. Just a thought, don't measure calories. Just write down everything you eat and drink each day - I mean everything. It tends to make you far more aware, in the moment, of what you are shoving in your gob. I'll join you and do the same.
Much appreciated, but please don't think I'm disheartened, far from it. I will stick with it, having weighed myself daily for over two years I know there's only a 52% chance I'll register a daily loss. For me, calorie deficit (with the unflinching support of My Fitness Pal) has worked better than anything else, so when I cram nearly 2000 more calories into me than I should do, I know to expect a weight rise. Today's also likely to be a gain day - empty nest syndrome kicking in for me and Mrs SE9. She has her cat and copious boxsets, I've got an afternoon of Soccer Saturday and more Stroopwafel to ease the existential horror of midlifery.

My evening went as expected: curry, naan, paratha, bhajis, popadums, lots of cider, red wine and, because I clearly hadn't had enough, a large margarita around 2am.

But I knew last night was happening when I committed to this, so it's properly game on from here.

I'll only weigh in weekly because daily fluctuations can be dispiriting, particularly after nights like last night!

Well, I have good news and bad news.

The bad news is that my weight hasn't decreased by any discernable amount overnight.

The good news is that I misread my scales (which only give the weight in lbs and kg) and I actually weigh 14st 12lb.

INSTANT SUCCESS! :lolol::facepalm:

How about when watching Soccer Saturday don’t sit still? Walk on the spot? Or do some weights?

I was diagnosed as diabetic earlier in the year and am trying to put it in regression by exercise and Diet, so something like this could help spur me on a bit, I'm in. But will only weigh in on a monday :)
I tend to find it easier to do an official weigh in on a Friday as I'm more likely to be holding weight after the weekend

121.9kg (+0.4kg on yesterday / +1.6kg since Nov 1)
Still moving in the wrong direction but at least the speed has slowed. And entirely predictable - calories were ok yesterday but I decided to forego my usual exercise routine.

Good man, I’ll join you. At 2:43 you sound about as athletic as me 😁. I have the C2 rower and Ski-erg at home but they’re underused.
It really should be under 2:30! I’d love it to be 2:15 but the old belly gets in the way of a good catch position 🙁 The C2 is a great piece of kit. I got mine at the start of the first lockdown but it spent a large amount of time unused. Over the last couple of years, I do try and use it 3 times a week, though you wouldn’t notice 🤣

I fancy it. Have been looking at 'Chair Yoga' exercises to get the core trimmed and the weight down. Anyone else tried it?

I have tried it and still do a bit
Never really changed much for me so Qi Gong as well and I swim 5-10miles most weeks as do a lot of endurance events during swim season
Really want to shift the middle fat as it causes drag when swimming

Yesterday walked 40mins, exercise bike for 40 mins and limited my bread intake (the killer for me). Will try to do a long walk today.
Me too with the bread. A slice of sourdough with humour to accompany my soup at lunchtime. Lobbed a couple of boiled eggs onto my tuna salad supper to boost the protein.
