I'm 'only' 5'8" and a BMI of 23.4 so just on the higher end of standard for my height.
I think losing 7lbs might be hard, but should be achievable.
According to my body compisition scales, my fat is 1 sone 11 and mostly subcutaneous.

Which scales do you have? I got a set and the readings are bullshit, they're just calculated from your age/height/weight. I was a weak and soft, started weights and lost weight (12kg), then added some weight (more muscle than fat) whilst continuing to lift. I had weight readings at the start that matched weight readings at the end, except that at the start I was in shit condition and at the end I was good. Did the scales recognise this blindingly obvious change? No, it thought I had more body fat because I was slightly older at the end.

Well this it timely as I've had a genuinely rotten 18 months, putting on over a stone and a half. Starting to go regularly away hasn't helped as it's very tough to do those healthily. Or no fun more accurately :p

So I start today at a genuinely abysmal 15 stone 3 pounds. During the height of lockdown when we were all living like monks I even got down to 12 stone 6 pounds. A more realistic long-term health target for me is 13 and a half stone - so these seven pounds will have to be just the start for me. I'm entered into the half-marathon in Brighton which at my current weight would probably do me a mischief!

I weighed myself this morning and can't remember what it was, exactly. I was 13.1st last Saturday, I wrote this down. 3 nights with no alcohol got me down to what I think was 12.12st this morning. I tried to weigh myself again but the batteries have gone flat! I will get some more tomorrow.
This thread must be working though, as I was going to go out for a drink tonight but I'm staying in now!

Oh yes I'm giving the fasting a go to see if there is anything in this trendy thing. Midnight to 6pm will be fairly easy for me - I'm a late evening monster devourer

Two immediate changes today...

- Only 1 slice of toast/spread/Marmite for breakfast. Over the course of a month, that should be worth a pound or so by itself.
- My mum has a bowl of those little cheese-flavoured biscuits on the go all the time, and when I'm there, I'll get stuck in too. Thinking about it now, those alone could be responsible for much of my recent weight gain.

House is packed with Halloween sweets. They're very into it in my neighborhood so all the children filled the 2.5L paint kettles I gave them.
Better news is the missus has decided she's drinking too much and as I generally don't drink unless someone else starts it .
Still might be tricky as my knee has gone and even an entirely flat and sedate bike ride has left me barely able to tackle stairs.

The difficult time of the day now for me. Had a bit of a craving.....just did a 1500 step walkabout between my kitchen , dining room and lounge (about 85 steps each lap...ha ha ) It's worked and feeling chilled now. Only took about 14 minutes.

Love it.

I have not started well. Long, physical day working on our house, so we had a curry for supper. But twice today I nearly bought a Galaxy bar and twice I had you guys in my head and I deferred.

Almost certainly the entire reason.

I am not convinced my day one was a winner.

Three Weatabiz for breakfast then I played golf at 11.30 so missed lunch. Pizza and chips for tea. I am not sure skipping meals and then that sort of food is a winner.

I’m going to try and do an indoor row on my machine on each of the 30 days this month (rowvember!) and what better than to slide this goal into that. Unfortunately, commencing 15:30 Friday 1st November, is the settlement of my dues in a 3 Pint League (3PL) between myself, a palace fan, and his Brentford supporting BiL. Whoever finishes below another has to buy them 3 pint of beer. The smugness of my Palace supporting friend on the last day of last season was unbearable.
Short row done. 3PL beers (and some) done.
