that’s the prettiest picture I ever have seen ….
Still beggars belief that clown Southgate took all these joke palace players to the euros. Wharton , eze and Guehi just slightly above average premier league players.
Can't wait for Wharton Vs baleba this season.
Palace are to squadbuilding what Jimmy Savile was to babysitting.
Yes, it appears to include our 4-1 DRUBBING of palace, plus Man City, who could only manage 4-2.They only lost 2 games with him playing. Does that include their 4-1 smashing against us, where Olise came on at half time, with the game already lost? Or is it games he started?
If that's true, then the stats without him are worse, because they were 3 down against us when he came on.Yes, it appears to include our 4-1 DRUBBING of palace, plus Man City, who could only manage 4-2.
I genuinely think Wharton is a good player and with age could become a very decent player. Not sure he would hang around if a better offer came in for him.Wharton is only 20, he could be a good player in the future, so I guess he was taken to help him develop, more than as a backup player (or am I being to generous?). Guehi did well, I don't think we had better options.
Eze was a poor gamble that didn't pay off.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
This is a terrible idea. Recent history has shown that Palace will probably not get relegated so whilst they are gently flirting with it is absolutely the best time to have a chortle. Come April they will be safe and cruising for their standard 12th spot which will be far less fun.Let's keep our powder try folks, it would be very Brighton to lose at home to that lot up the road.
Sadly yes. This is pretty much a bog-standard PL season for Palace. Start off with lots of hope and optimism that this is the year they win a trophy and/or qualify for Europe. Then they struggle, look like relegation candidates and quite often sack the manager. The new guy comes in, turns it around, they finish strongly and so at the start of the next season there is renewed optimism that this is the year they win a trophy and/or qualify for Europe. Then they .... well you know the rest.We all KNOW they will be fine.
Moves finished, 6th 7th, 14th and 9th. He won the ECL the season he finished 14th. He didn't really struggle at all at West Ham.I honestly think this year is different.
They have no outstanding player to come back from injury, Eze doesn’t look that interested, Guehi has been found out, Wharton is carrying an injury that they don’t seem to be treating properly. Apart from those 3, do they have anyone that you would have confidence in to drag them up the League?
Even if they get a fire fighting manager in, with their squad, I just don’t see them pulling clear of the relegation zone.
Which available manager would get their squad to play well enough to get the required points?
Southgate? His record in club football isn’t great, Potter? Not sure, he took a fairly long time to get us playing winning football.
Moyes is probably the only available manager who appears to have what they need, but even he struggled at times with West Ham’s squad, and that was a lot better than Palace’s present squad.
I can only see a real battle for them this season, and I honestly don’t think they’ve got the bottle for it.
Guehi "did well" in that he was only directly responsible for 2 goals conceded, one of which was Spain's winner. He did complete lots and lots of 5 yard passes.Wharton is only 20, he could be a good player in the future, so I guess he was taken to help him develop, more than as a backup player (or am I being too generous?). Guehi did well, I don't think we had better options.

Not my words, Carol.
