I'd agree with that, after many a visit during shifts over the years!
Wayfield Park Farm cafe at Pyecombe always did a great breakfast- not been for a year or so but I've never heard any bad reviews. Nice location too.

In Eastbourne and we generally head to De Ja Vue in Bolton Road. Always had a quality breakfast in there and even headed there last week while visiting family as hotel breakfast was rubbish!

in Brighton Moksha Cafe, York Place is very good. My kids like the Breakfast Club, but I think its incredibly overpriced for what it is.

My dad used to run PJs cafe at the bottom of Boundary Road in Portslade and the breakfast was always top notch.
Shame he decided to pack it in after COVID lockdowns.

Only just in East Sussex and the posh end of breakfast places, but in my part of the world Birchwood near Flimwell, just off the a21. Good food and if it’s your thing there is a bank of (mostly unused) Tesla chargers outside
