I ran a pub near a hospital for a little while. Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses and office staff used to get hammered after a long shift regularly tbf. They also had very interesting conversations at times too.

My point is: they treated wellbeck, which just so happens to be their last act of the day at work, which just so happens to coincide with the end of the soccer game and then they happen to go to the same bar as all the soccer fans and the spout confidential medical information....come on man!
Also that is very different from anonymized information another person was talking about. I bet those stories don't include the patients names.

The person who posted about it never said anything about it being the last act of the day at work. We have no idea what hours they worked. They could have done a 7am-7pm shift or they could have just been on duty at the football stadium which means they would have been clocking off once the crowd was clear of the ground. Both leave plenty of time to head out for a drink in the evening. Also we are talking about Newcastle, pretty much any bar/pub in the city centre after the game would have been full of football fans.
There is absolutely nothing inconceivable about what the poster claimed, the paramedic possibly showed poor judgement sharing a story about Welbeck but it would have been difficult to say anything about the incident without it being immediately obvious who it was about even if nothing of a medical nature was shared.

They tell the club and the head coach then tells the press (de facto tells EVERYONE) at a press conference. During Covid everyone knew who had tested positive.
