I literally only put it on here because I thought it was good news.
Yeah I completely understand. But do you not think the paramedic shouldn't have been telling you?

I ran a pub near a hospital for a little while. Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses and office staff used to get hammered after a long shift regularly tbf. They also had very interesting conversations at times too.Answered in the post directly above yours. I don’t ask for the patient’s name and she doesn’t tell, none of my business. I was referring to another poster once again posting confidently incorrectly implying the poster sharing that was a liar, on the basis that a paramedic wouldn’t go for a drink after work. Which is bollocks.
F*** my old boots, how is THAT the relevant point on this thread?Yeah I completely understand. But do you not think the paramedic shouldn't have been telling you?

A generous reaction, but I don't think you did anything wrong.[/QUOT
I think I've been the indiscreet one, sharing it on here.
It was a 60 second conversation along the lines of 'your man will be fine'
You're allowed to share it, you're not bound by patient confidentiality.I think I've been the indiscreet one, sharing it on here.

I swear people on NSC hate others being ITK more than they love good news about the club.
And then go very quiet when the club announce what you’ve shared a day or two later.F*** my old boots, how is THAT the relevant point on this thread?

This is the UK. A drink straight after a long working day is very common in a lot of professions. Especially so in those where they are potentially seeing/dealing with some pretty harrowing things on a daily basis. It helps you unwind. I would do it regularly after a 12 hours shift in the City and I worked in IT. Couple of pints with workmates to relax before heading for the train.
I have personally met up with a very good friend who is an A&E nurse for a pint right after their shift. And she has told me loads of stuff about how her day was, the patients she’s had and so on when I’ve asked how her day went.
There are some people on here, Swansman for one, who seem absolutely baffled by British culture despite having posted here a while.
My point is: they treated wellbeck, which just so happens to be their last act of the day at work, which just so happens to coincide with the end of the soccer game and then they happen to go to the same bar as all the soccer fans and the spout confidential medical information....come on man!Yeah I work 12 hour days dealing with difficult cases in medical emergencies for travel insurance.
A nice whiskey or pint after the shift is a godsend.

Also that is very different from anonymized information another person was talking about. I bet those stories don't include the patients names.
Irrelevant opinion because… what the hell is soccer? My point is: they treated wellbeck, which just so happens to be their last act of the day at work, which just so happens to coincide with the end of the soccer game and then they happen to go to the same bar as all the soccer fans and the spout confidential medical information....come on man!

Or, for that matter, a "seagle"!Irrelevant opinion because… what the hell is soccer?

The medical and injury status of our players is discussed all the time. If a player has an ACL or break medical staff will know as soon as it is confirmed. They tell the club and the head coach then tells the press (de facto tells EVERYONE) at a press conference. During Covid everyone knew who had tested positive.
It's baffling that you can't see this.
Seems to be snowing quite hard on this thread !

Yup. Hardly sharing someone’s medical records is it.If I has been that paramedic chatting to a Brighton fan I would have also said, 'don't worry he's fine mate, just precautionary'
