Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Years ago, I had a peanut stuck in my ear. I poured some melted chocolate in, and it came out a Treet.

I had my ears waxed at my local barbers the other day. Bit reticent when it was first offered, but not a bad experience and worth it for fuzz-free ears. Although I declined the nose wax; even the thought of that made my eyes water!

@Durlston you could always shove a pro-plus in your ear.

I have had the wax lollipop yanked out my nose and can confirm eyes did water

I've now had THREE appointments with about 80% of the ear wax removed. My right ear has been fully restored to sharp hearing with my left ear almost complete - just a large, soft piece of wax that needs to be removed. I overdid the ear drops a bit so that's made it difficult. I can't fault the lady treating me. Unfortunately married as she's quite fit! A box of Earoes chocolates was given yesterday as a thank you and a Christmas gift. Appropriate I thought. :lolol:

Final appointment Wednesday 8th January 2025. I would recommend Action For Deafness to anyone with hearing problems. £15 a visit. Money extremely well spent. It's so good to have my hearing again almost as sharp as a tack.

Glad you've had some success. I'd suggest investing in an endoscope that connects to your phone, it has been a game changer for me

Ear drops have been put in for a week now but they seem to be making my hearing worse - like when you go swimming and you can't get the water out afterwards.

The sucker outer (well a professional who did my mums) told that is there a big wax build you often gets "holes" you can hear through.

Ear drops can sometimes simply fill those holes up, thus making the situation worse.

My ear drums are now visible in both left and right - very pleasing because apparently I have extremely narrow ear canals which was a big part of the problem. I developed dizziness when my left ear was still severely blocked and the right had been completely cleared. It seems to have gone in the last 30 hours now which is a relief!
