I still find it strange that we loaned him out and spent £40m on Ruttner, a player with a seemingly lower ceiling, when we’ve ended up playing the two 8s effectively as 10s, in a role that would’ve suited Buonanotte down to the ground. But hey ho, there must be logic somewhere.

- we are looking a bit lacking at the back at the moment too imo - especially with Van Hecke out (probably until after the international break) - with 5 international breaks this season, an extra defender wouldn’t hurt us.

We spent a lot of money to bring Ferdi in to play left back, along with Pervis. If the Sevilla loan remains pear-shaped, bring him back and loan him out to the Championship (or League 1 if no Championship option).

The lad is an Argentinian international and currently playing in LaLiga - barely down to championship level let alone League 1.
If we can’t use him here then lend him out to a lower Premier league Club or back out to another top flight European Club.

That run up the middle, progressing the ball like that reminds me of the sort of long runs he use to do at Rosario - good to see him getting back his mojo - goodness knows what RDZ did to him - he was clearly unhappy with us (and confused about his role).
I hope we’ll get him back at the end of the season and he doesn’t decide he wants to transfer out.
