The only time I have ever witnessed negotiating with a Turk, was when my wife bought a scarf upstairs in a shop. As soon as he and she had agreed the price of 20 Euros, without a word, he high-tailed it downstairs to the till, and had gift-wrapped it behind a high counter, before we could say 'is that the same scarf we just bought?'.Negotiating with TurksIt's not until you tell them they're stealing the bread from your children's mouths that you'll start to see any movement - always works
(Somewhat surprisingly, when we opened it outside the shop, it was indeed the same scarf).

I want this signing more than any other we have made thus far but you have to respect Fenerbahce for standing their ground. They want to keep the guy as we did with both Cucu and Caicedo. I hope we get him in the end but they will certainly have made us pay a proper fee for him. Respect...

only problem with that is veltman at fullback absolutely does not suit the way hurzeler plays, we need width and players with pace to defend the channels, veltman offers none of the tat, will be isolated defensively and has always spoilt pretty much every attack he’s been involved in.

fact hes training recently, only shows hes not on plane yet. Nothing unusual in that, needs to keep his fitness levels up etc.
If he plays on weekend, that would say a lot more.
