But people from local communities, opportunists and easily influenced or disgruntled about immigration and things in general, enough to join in under same rhetoric and feelings at least. Some of the press could and should change their narratives to reflect this. It’s dynamic and will continue to be so.

Police are over stretched, everyday criminals are literally getting away with things as a result. People need to think “if I go to counter protest, I’m effectively taking police away that are otherwise investigating a prior burglary, a rape, gba etc.” You also stand a chance of being friendly fired. No, Police have asked for calm, are exhausted and you really aren’t helping anyone just adding more potential fuel to the fire. Doubling the potential problem.
