Can I nominate Parish for a comedy gold award. His "Zaha worth more than £20 million" is pure comedy. Have a look at who has ever commanded over £20m and only the comical price of Carroll would indicate an unproven championship player getting half that at most.

Arsenal = Denilson, Christopher Wreh, Luis Boa Morte, Francis Jeffers

All those players were scouted by the biggest clubs in the country, and all turned out to be pretty shite despite all the promise and the best will in the world. Not saying Zaha will turn out to be a flop, I'm sure he'll have an average Premier League career and be content with his millions in the bank but Premier League clubs make expensive mistakes more often than you seem to believe/know about.
