Are you for real? Hirsty (at the time) was a better player than Shearer. He had it all - pace, power, strength and the best left foot in the country. Alex Ferguson bid £3m for him and was told to f*** off and this was before Dalglish raised eyebrows by signing Shearer for £3.3m. If it hadn't been for Stevie Bould (and perhaps a strong liking for beer & pies) Hirsty would've been a legend throughout the country, and not just in Sheffield.
