Hope not we need to score a goal to win. Unless of course Buckley and Sparrow come good again.

So that's Barnes who scored 20 goals last year and Agdestein who is scoring plenty for the reserves both written off against a non league team then?

Coming back from injury he would not have expected to play for so long on Saturday so give him a break.

He did put in an extremely good shift.

Barnes looks to be on a bad run of confidence and unable to shoot accurately at the moment. Agdestein may be able to do it against lower opposition but just looked lost against Wrexham. Good with the ball at his feet but didnt know where to go or what to do with it. Perhaps he should just play as the front man and in the box and be told to aim at the goal and then he may score. I would feel a lot more confident of getting through if either CMS or Hoiskins were playing and I think that Gus may regret not bringing on CMS at home instead of either Kasim or Rogers just after they equalised.

Indeed. I think those two will have more than enough in them to beat Wrexham. Barnes showed he has enough to score regularly against league 1 teams, Agdestein is more unknown but has potential.

I wish I shared your optimism.

Although Barnes scored 20 last season, some of his misses were unbelievable. - he could/should have scored 30.

Agdestein looks promising but really is he ready for the first team ?

Nonetheless I hope you are correct if it comes to that.

Wolves is not a million miles from Wrexham and it was reported that we were stopping to train somewhere along the way today....What's the odds of Vokes joining up with the squad at some stage and starting tomorrow night...Unless he is cup tied?....

Some people are so impatient - he's just come back from a long layoff with a difficult to heal injury and played probably 60 minutes longer than was intended on Saturday.

Far better for him to hopefully be available for Saturday.

He will be a very good player for us IMO, maybe not this season but next season will be exciting

As you say he is going to be quality and we do need to accept that he needs a bit more time, it is easy to get swept along with it all on here and get frustrated. But he has shown enough for me to see we have a very good player on our books! :)

Not really got that much choice have we?

think you might want to review Toby's scoring record for the DS this season - it's not particularly good as I recall,

the more regular scorer this season is Ryan Simmonds who may well play "the Buckley role" tomorrow

that's not putting anyone down but heaping expectations on someone based on a false premise does neither the player or the fans any good

Blisters!!!!! Quite frankly its getting ridiculous. This is a professional sportsman who on his own should know how to look after key parts of the body essential to his sport i.e. his bloody feet! Get the boots treated with dubbin or whatever the modern equivalent. Or how about getting an apprentice to run the boots in or perhaps the Filipino house boy who he employs to dye his hair and pluck his eyebrows!

Notwithstanding this are we not a professional football club who employ a chiropodist of have easy access to one to advise on premier foot care technique..................oh no silly me its the pitch which we spent ages deciding on and Gus had input!

RANT OVER!

Posted this before but i have been out for a few weeks with blisters from new boots before. Had to have them dressings put on with antibiotic stuff like id been in a fire or sumit!

I dont come out of that tale looking particularly tough  but my point is that blisters can be no joke especially if you wear your boots tight you dunno how bad its getting until after you take em off.

You probably didnt have access to the same professional help that our players have. I cannot see blisters being a major problem for him for too long. Surelt they can pad his feet out to take away the effect.

I'm with you on this, I have it on good authority that Hoskins is a bit powderpuff and will not play unless he's absolutely spot on. First it was his groin, then his thigh, then the knee and now blisters ffs!!
It's also not true to say his injury woes started when he came here, he was injured for Bristol Rovers in 2011, knee I think. I think he's a decent player although the praise for his performance on Saturday was a bit OTT imo.
Some players will play through the pain barrier as in Vincelots case but some won't, this is far more prevalant in the modern day footballer. It's very difficult for a medical team when a player says he is not fit to play and has several niggling injuries.
IMHO Hoskins should realise how lucky he is, grow a pair and get on with it!!
