Why do people say the Championship will be stronger next season?

Just wondered like, ok West Ham may still be here but why will it be stronger?

The clubs being relegated get parachute payments although Wolves and Blackburn are in a real mess at present.

But Beach that'll be the case every season.

Not with Wolves they will sort themselves out but Blackburn look in horrendous trouble

So it doesn't look stronger then?

Not in my view, no different from this season however Charlton and Wednesday are potential sleeping giants

Totally agree, they will be strong in the Championship. Coming into the Championship ourseleves we had the likes of Leeds, Derby, Birmingham, Cardiff, West Ham, etc. it was a very, very strong league this season and we are disappointed not to be in the play offs!

Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday are decent teams, but cant see either finishing above mid table unless they spend big. They're a year behind us in the transition, when you think we've added quality in Vicente, CMS (ok not fully lived up to hype), Buckley and so on to consolidate this year, and will probably spend again this summer, we can easily finish ahead of both. As for those coming down, Wolves will be the best of the lot, Bolton (if they drop) will lose loan players and the likes of Petrov, Klasnic and so on will surely be on big wages and their crowds will drop MASSIVELY i'd have thought, similar if Wigan were to have dropped a division, can't see them getting more than 12/13k most weeks. Wolves will lose Fletcher, Doyle and co, but still have quality in depth and will bring in some decent players. Blackburn look really f***ed.

I'd say its a similar looking division, lost a bit of the dead wood, but gained some decent upper mid table sides.

Wednesday & Charlton will both beat our 10th place...£100?

I think you also have to look at the teams already in this division but underpformed this season. Leicester have spent so much money they'll be desperate to go up next year and perhaps now have the continuity of manager to do that. Then there's Leeds - they're under-funded but they have the promotion specialist manager who might just be able to get them up. Middlesbrough also look like a very good team who are getting stronger. Plus maybe Ipswich who are bound to better next year.

Add that to the fact that of the teams coming up and at least two of the three coming down will be candidates and it does like being madly competitive again.

Oh, and don't forget Palace and the"promotion push" they're already talking about!

I think that Sheff Wed will be in the top half at least and probably pushing for play offs with Dave Jones in charge as will Leeds with Warnock both good proven Championship managers. The teams coming down will, like this season be able to afford the players to put them in the play offs so thats 5 of the top six places taken that is apart from this seasons play off losers. Doesnt leave many places for other teams

I think Middlesbrough were good down the Amex and they will be up there.
Sheffield Wednesday are a sleeping giant and also caught a glimpse of their last game, they have some skill, strength and pace up front which you need in the Championship. I would also expect Leeds, Ipswich and Leicester to push on next season. Hopefully The Albion will be up there too (but we do need a couple of strong signings )

Wolves will be very strong next season. They have financial stability and are completing a training ground expansion and are expanding Molineux. They were the only PL team without any debt last season. On top of that, they have lots of up and coming youngsters. Wolves will be pushing to go straight back up.

I think Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday will finish in the top half next season, I think they'll be very tough teams to beat.
