Assuming you mean Thomas Hitzlsperger, I would LOVE that. He's quality, and has a rocket of a left foot, hence the nickname Der Hammer.

Out of contract but you'd assume that a) he'd stay in Germany and b) he'd want big wages.

Then again, you'd have said the same about Vicente...

Thomas hitzlsperger was just on talk sport and he said he is talking to some English clubs he would love to come back to England and that is what he is planning on doing so maybe he is on his way

Naylor today is saying that we have got Vicente back (hopefully) on the back of building the team around him. Hope it will be more successful than last year when Gus promised to build the team around CMS!

Played 63 games and scored 22 goals so 1 goal every 3 games would make him a 15 goal season man here. I think his greatest attribute would b a foil for CMS as teams would have to watch both as they are both able to score often. Noticed he left Spurs for Southend at much the same time as Gus left Spurs as No 2.

Not all in the Championship, and we already know it is far, far harder to score in the Championship than L1...

Especially given the fact that he was asked to man mark him, and did it reasonably well in the first half (as well as getting into a dangerous position and crossing for about the only chance the Czechs had in that first half).

He was excellent in the fisrt two games, and I was EFFUSIVE of my praise for him, on various threads. And of course he'd be more than good enough for us. It would be madness to suggest otherwise.

To be fair, he was probably absolutely shattered, having just about managed to keep out the 2nd best player in the world (tm) for 79 minutes.

When you think how many full backs at all levels seem to be described as "better going forward than defending" it's a wonder that a lot more goals aren't scored

True. Everyone bar Ashley Cole seems to.

But it wasn't just Ronaldo he struggled with last night. And despite what [MENTION=232]Simster[/MENTION] says, he was NOT tasked with man marking him. Theodore was simply playing right-back, that's all - which obviously put him up v Ronaldo for a lot of the game. When Ronaldo and Nani swapped flanks though, Theo wasn't sent across with him.

Hitzlsperger is good but missed most of the season when he was with West Ham - and injury-prone players are not what we really want. Or immobile lumps like Heskey ...
