The club has given Michael Haswell permission to train with Brighton & Hove Albion and to play two games for them while on trial with Micky Adams' team. He joined up with them yesterday and is likely to go with the squad on a short tour of Ireland.

Terry Brown said "obviously nothing is settled and the purpose of this is for Brighton to have another look at Michael. We knew they had him watched last season, so we aren't surprised that they've made this request. We wouldn't stand in the way of a player who wants to try to earn a place at a league club.
