You are correct I should have said reasonably good when he arrived on loan from Coventry. How times change!! In fairness to him I think that from the outset Poyet didnt rate him as a player and he didnt get to play many games and as a result he has gone progressivly downhill.

Charlton have signed Simon Francis from Southend today (£35K down plus add-ons seems cheap) so that should effectively end any interest in Whingy. Also indicative of the fee (or not) we could ever expect if we did manage to move him on.

I wonder if we where looking at Francis, would have been a great backup to Calde.

Southend must be struggling to field any sort of team now.
