only ever been to a couple of rugby games, and both were at newcastle so

No big team but I support all Sussex clubs - although that is pretty much the equivalent of being a football fan and supporting a Welsh non-league team. However I love Rugby Union and I'd love to see a combined Brighton & Hove RFC team playing at Falmer. Sadly there's as much chance of that as seeing a combined Brighton and Palace team playing at Selhurst.

It's been talked about many many times but both clubs (quite rightly) want to keep their own identity.
But you're right merging the clubs would be good for sussex rugby and would also challenge Worthing and Haywards Heath who are pretty much untouchable as far as the rest of the counties teams are concerned. And who knows it may one day bring the county top flight rugby
