going by the votes so far the starting line up should be

Kuipers

Virgo
Elphick
Hawkins
Lynch

Cox
Livermore
Thomson
Mcleod

Murray
Forster

with McLeod and Murray to be our star players

would happily settle for that but still a couple of signings off a complete squad

Went for Kevin McLeod, Glenn Murray, and Michel Kuipers.

I would have gone for Elphick but I'm not totally convinced that a) He'll be a regular in the team this season and b) He'll still be here come the end of January.

I really hope Whing doesn't lose his right back place to Virgo....

I really want Coxy to kick on this season and show the consistency which has been lacking up to now. At his best he's a match winner, goes past people, and has the ability to deliver the killer pass or cross, but too often chooses the wrong option.

If he does show that consistency we will have a great season :clap2:

You mean Cox who has night shined for a good season or so, Thomson who looks completely out of sorts when not playing the holding position, El Abd who is a defender...

I don't expect Chamberlain to start every game. Does not mean the lad won't shine when he does get a go.

El Abd is the best defensive midfielder at the club because simply he is a defender first and foremost and can tackle. Having won the ball he will pass uit to Thomsion who will then distribute it with simple precision passing. The friendlies have shown that he is being encouraged to get forward more. McLeod is a natural 2 footed player who can cross the ball and aim at the penalty spot to allow Murray and Forster to attack the ball. Cox will prosper through playing on his natural side. You then have Livermore who has not been signed to be in the reserves Fraser and Robinson who I would imagine are both in front of Chamberlain in the pecking order.

I would put Chamberlain in front of Loft and possibly vying with Hart and Mayo in midfield if they get a contract

Livermore and Thomson are both DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD players. I think they would probably argue that makes them better in that position than El Abd who was used there largely as a last resort.

Fraser, Livermore, Thomson and El-Abd are all in front of Chamberlain at the moment IMO. Would be surprised if we dont sign another midfield before the start of the season.

Dont see this season being Chamberlain chance to shine, from what I saw at Worthing he didn't seem ready for league football. Maybe next year.
