Which clubs in the top two divisions have only ever had managers from the British Isles?

The further down the leagues you go, the more British it becomes. I often think that the Championship now is a bit like the old First Division from 30 years ago.

The way it's going at the moment, there may be a time when an England manager (and the English team) is mainly chosen from the top sides in the Championship with the Premier League acting as a de facto European super league for the best players and managers in Europe.

Yes indeed, it certainly looks that way. And to think, the original rationale for the formation of the Premier League was that it would help the English national team.

Oops, I should have said British Isles!
Sorry to get pedantic but the territory hasn't been British since 1922. You can't call the isle British if 26 of the counties aren't!

The British Isles is a widely used term to denote the isles within which Britain is located, rather than a statement of ownership.

A bit like saying 'Liam Bridcutt's club Brighton & Hove Albion' denotes him being in the Brighton side rather than a statement that he owns the club.
