Shows the quality of Irish football wrt Dutch football particularly the goalkeepers. He won't be starting for much longer if he can't get the starting slot at Preston .....

Well done Hendo. Make sure if you wobble on coming off your line you blame a junior member of the team. Cos one of the senior pros might just give you a smack

How the f*** can you call him a legend? He's an average goalkeeper that played for us for a season or so. Nothing more.

It is interesting that you are more interested in supporting an error-prone, disloyal goalkeeper than your own fottball team! Curious.

Given is unfit, Paddy Kenny is a lardarse, Colgan is untested internationally whereas Hendo is, Hendo's little brother is still playing for the U18s :jester: , Kiely is too old, etc.

We are somewhat "knackered for goalies" but Henderson has proven himself between the posts for us.

He was an Irish legend for saving a shot at point blank range from Henrik Laarson after less than a minute on his debut.

How did Kuipers get on against Laarson the last time he played against him?

Oh yeh, that's right.....:jester:

I would think Kiely is still the best bet as back up for Given in competitive games.

He is playing regularly for West Brom, at present.

Officially retired from international football under Brian Kerr, unlike some others (Carsley, etc) he hasn't been recalled by Staunton.

I see, so you become a goalkeeping legend by saving one shot. Got it. Glad we cleared that up. In which case, I am a goalkeeping legend also.
