MIne was the League Cup game at Nottingham Forest in 1978.

I went to that (and our experience was indeed the same as those smileys suggest ) - first away at a PROPER football ground.

Before that I'd only been to selhurst (and the SMELL!... )

For me it was the Play Off Final in 1991, the first proper away game was against Bristol City in 1995, we won 1-0.
