Chelsea away cup game mid 60's. We lost 4:0

The same as me. It was 1967 and we had earned the replay after drawing 1-1.

We thought by the time we knocked off school (excuse) we would not have time to get to the game.

School mates that went said they could not see a thing because it was too crowded. And some people did come back after travelling as the gates were closed before kick-off.

I went to Stamford Bridge but couldn't get in. 54000 inside, an estimated 5000 (mostly Brighton fans it seemed) locked out.

Same as a few others - Hereford away March 1976 1-1-wardy after 1 min and on MoD. Season petered out with five 1-1 draws in last eight games starting with this game. Peter Ward scored 6 in these 8 games scoring our only goal in all the 1-1 draws!Where would we have been if he had got in the team earlier? Missed out on promotion that year by 3 points-only consolation we finished higher than the Scum!

FA Cup semi-final at Highbury. Was a wee ten-year-old, gradually acquiring diabetes, so needed the bog about 10 times during the game. Think my brother was a bit peeved :lolol:

What a day, though! 54,000 packed in there and Jimmy Case's belter right in front of us :clap2: :clap2:

i went to cardiff for the play off final but oweing to my refereeing I was a late starter, and in league terms my one and only away game was the 1-0 defeat to Wolves last year.

WSU, just below the seagull.
Fulham away in 85 (i think)

Lost 1-0 to a penalty, nearly got mashed back at Clapham Junction, as a load of Chelsea were on the platform waiting for a rumble, i think they had played earlier in the day.
