I fear your suspicions ought to have been aroused by the use of the stammering exclamation of incredulity.

In other words, no.

They were. I was having a laugh with you.
It is used up north. Apparently when there wasn't a minister around to do the nuptials for a couple they held hands and jumped over a broom (or brush) That signified a ceremony,
Brenda Lee (singer from the early 60's) sang a rock song called Let's Jump the Broomstick.

Blissfully single, however if the right person came along I would be prepared to change that to either living in sin or with partner but not living together.

What I want to know is why is that when you're single, it takes ages to find a woman. Yet the minute you're attached, there are always seem to be other women interested? One of life's great mysteries.

(oh, I'm living over the brush and quite happy, thank you very much)

Happily married

Me too.

(Disclaimer: but not to coventrygull)

Was happily living "over the brush" for 18 years with no plans to change things. Then I realised none of my UK/American/Asian/Australian resident friends were going to travel over here for my planned 40th birthday party, so we gave them a wedding as well as an incentive.

Five years later and no regrets at all...

I think it's very commendable how people are putting words like Happy and Married side by side. I found marriage was ok but there's nothing like a good divorce to cheer you up.

I'm single too, not particularly looking.

So what DO you call it?

Single but casually leering over anything you come across on the internet with a profile that says "female"?

I'm currently home & trialing a new after shave. It's called "fanny repellant" & it's working a treat!
