That said I know just as many English people who hate the Irish for even more spurious reasons. Kev the Ape being one of them.

Kev's reason has to do with Lansdowne's riots actually. Apparently its all our fault that the hoolies got annoyed when we went ahead. Oh, and according to him Ireland are crap at football and would get beaten by England even though we usually beat England even when our team is weakened.....
