This Happy Breed

Noel Coward, David Lean and one of the greatest (small) casts ever assembled ... I watch it every time that it's on TV

Mighty ducks was a brilliant film. :)

Great Shout!

This was a film that must have been watches over a hundred times in my student house.

My favourite has to be Rainman as I think that acting is superb.

I also loved Shutter Island as I have never seen a film that you watch so differently the second time. I think it was really well acted and directed

Cannot pick just one film so a few of my favourites.

The Return
The Browning Version
Narc
Last Crusade
Planes, trains etc
Harvey
Drive
and many more.

Never saw the fuss with stuff like Inception (clunky dressed up as intelligent), Shawshank (okay, but hugely overrated), Forrest Gump (what????).

Not a great film buff.

Where eagles dare was good, blazing saddles very funny, city of angles, really good, bambi very sad, Harry potter films good, star war films great , but only the first three, original superman films great, most James bond films great, sean Connery ones, but only Skyfall since, bargi on the beach( can't spell bargee) was excellent, dr Faustus scary, dr strange love mad but brilliant, pink panther series, Peter sellars only! Brilliant,

Right, obtuse or acute?

iD.
Kelly's Heroes.
Star Wars.
The Usual Suspects.
La Cabina.

Nothing deep and meaningful there, just entertainment.

I really like The Social Network. It is very dialogue heavy, and the dialogue does move very fast, but I think it is a fantastic film.

Another vote for Snatch and Inception and Gladiator - all great films.

I will also throw in Sin City, Pulp Fiction and Skyfall.

EDIT - Quadrophenia too.

I can't decide. 'Everything is Illuminated', 'The Midnight Cowboy', 'The Man Who Fell to Earth'? You are asking an impossible question.
