When Simon Mayo left Radio 1 for Radio 5Live he finished his last show at lunchtime I think and said, 'For my last record, I've always wanted to play this....'

And out belted 'The Ace of Spades' by Motorhead!

Not normally on Radio 1's A-list :thumbsup:

You've got to be old for quality radio, it was called the wireless then. My favs are so old they don't exist on you tube.
Any round the Horn episode "My names Julian and this is my friend sandy" or Bob Newhart as Sir Walter Raleigh phoning Queen Elizabeth 1st to tell her about tobacco and potatoes. :lolol:

I enjoy listening to Round the Horn episodes as well. The Julian and Sandy sketches made it past the BBC censors because they thought the listeners wouldn't understand the true meaning of them using Polari.
