American beauty. The only film to make me weep with laughter and sadness.
I bloody love that film.

Well said that man.

Also: Shoah, most "profound" film (documentary) I have ever seen, all 10 hours and 2 parts of it.

And: Field of Dreams, several memorable scenes (James Earl Jones, Kevin Costner, Ray Liotta, and the great Burt Lancaster). "It was you, Ray -- it was always you."
:cute:

The closest I've ever come was at the end of Saving Private Ryan.
I think I need an emotional education day, consisting of:

Marley & Me
Up
The Deer Hunter
Schindler's List

Need some more to break/melt a young man's cold heart!

I've never actually cried during a movie, but Lion King and Brother Bear always bring a lump to my throat. I'm sure there's a lot more where that's been the case too.

Schindler's List.

Gets's me every time I watch it as the film replicates what happened during the holocaust. The haunting music, lack of colour until you see the little girls red coat. The end in particular always gets me where the actors walk side by side with the survivors. Is there a more poignant & sadder film? I suspect no.
